OPENING FACEOFF: Today's non-conference game marks the 10th all-time meeting between No. 9 Gettysburg (6-3) and York (Pa.) (3-6) in a series that dates back to 2015. The Bullets won 9-8 in York last season to take a 5-4 edge in the all-time series. The teams have alternated wins and losses in the history of the series.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Gettysburg got one last stand from its defense to stave off a large charge by York to record a 9-8 road victory last season. Andy Marquet led the Bullets, who got big contributions from its entire defensive unit, led the way with two caused turnovers and three ground balls while also scoring his first goal of the season. Ethan Kessler led the attack with two goals and two assists. Will Harnick led the Spartans with three goals on the evening. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg outscored Haverford 8-1 in the first quarter and never looked back, streaking to a 19-5 victory on Saturday. Charlie Johnson established a new career-high with five goals. He also grabbed three ground balls and caused one turnover. Reid Tietjen led the Fords with two goals. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

NO. 9 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg moved up two spots to No. 9 in the latest USILA Div. III coaches' poll after a pair of lopsided wins last week.

ROOKIE BIG TIME: Charlie Johnson led the Bullets over the last two conference games, scoring nine goals and chipping in two assists in the two lopsided victories last week. On Wednesday against McDaniel, he established a new career best with six points, scoring four goals and adding two assists in the first half. On Saturday, it was a new career best for goals with five tallies in the first half against Haverford. For the season, he is second on the team with 19 goals and 28 points.

LAST TIME OUT: York snapped a five-game skid with a 10-9 road win at Denison on Friday. After a back-and-forth battle through most of three quarters, the Spartans held the Big Red to just one goal in the final 24 minutes, while York scored three times during that span to clinch the much-needed victory. Will Harnick established a new season-high with five goals. He has tallied in all nine games this season. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE: The Spartans ends their non-conference schedule this afternoon. Today's matchup will be York's ninth against a team ranked or receiving votes in the USILA coaches' poll. The only team that was not at least receiving votes when they played was Franklin & Marshall on Feb. 24. The battle with No. 9 Gettysburg is the fifth against a top-10 team for the Spartans. No MAC Commonwealth opponent is receiving votes in this week's USILA poll.
