THE REST OF THE STORY
•
David Preziuso led off game one with a single before a
Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) single put runners at the corners. Preziuso scored while Murphy got caught in a rundown for a 1-0 lead.
• A two-out
Will Stellato (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) home run to right field made it a 2-0 game in the second.
• After a one-out Mauro DeCillis single, stolen bases, groundout and balk made it 2-1 in the bottom of the second, an
Emmanuel Ajewole (Floral Park, N.Y./Stony Brook School) walk coupled with an error and Stellato sacrifice fly pushed the advantage back to 3-1 in the fourth.
• Harry Genth made it 3-2 with a leadoff homer in the bottom of the inning.
• The Bullets extended the lead to 4-2 in the seventh with a DeCillis two-out single followed by a Matt Dahl double and Daniel Rosman two-run single tied the game in the bottom of the eighth before the Preziuso led off home run in the ninth for the eventual winning run.
• Long balls from Genth in the first and Kyle Beach in the second staked Haverford to a 2-0 lead in game two.
• Stellato led off the sixth inning with a double before a sacrifice bunt and
Alexey Stout (Wall, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) sacrifice fly made it a 2-1 game.
• A Genth bunt single, stolen base and two wild pitches stretched the lead to 3-1 in the seventh before Dahl led off the eighth with a triple. He then scored on a Jack Wallis sacrifice fly for the final margin.
THE INSIDE STORY

David Preziuso's three-hit game one,

Will Stellato had a 2-for-2 outing.
• Preziuso stole three bases on the day to finish his season with a program-record 40 swipes. Gettysburg stole a record 124 as a team in 2023.
