THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked seventh in the latest ILWomen/IWLCA Div. III coaches' poll, outscored Dickinson 14-2 in the second and third quarters to key a 20-8 victory.
THE LEADERS
•
Jordan Basso (Rye, N.Y./Rye) registered seven points on five goals and two assists for the Bullets to become just the second player in program history to eclipse the 300-point mark for her career.
•
Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) added three goals and two assists for five points – all career highs for the sophomore.
FOR THE FOES
• Delaney Herbert led the Red Devils with two goals and an assist.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Jordan Basso scored twice in the game's first 2:02 to stake Gettysburg to a 2-0 lead. Goals from Sage Whiteside and Delaney Herbert, however, just 22 seconds apart drew Dickinson even with 11:17 remaining. Basso found
Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) with 8:33 on the clock for her milestone point. Abby Geary once again drew the hosts even with 7:07 on the clock.
Maddie Passarello converted an eight-meter shot with 2:56 showing to give the Bullets a 4-3 edge after one quarter.
• Passarello connected with
Sophie Smith (Great Falls, Va./Langley) in transition with 10:34 remaining in the second quarter, starting a run of five goals in 5 minutes, 28 seconds. Pasarello scored two more during the run around goals from
Meghan Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) and Basso for a 9-3 edge. Geary momentarily halted the run with 3:57 showing but
Lauren O'Connell (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) and Daly 50 seconds apart to make it 11-4 with 1:40 remaining. Emma Wynne scored in the waning seconds of the half to close the margin to six at the break.
• Two more Basso goals – one unassisted tally and one off a
Caroline Sullivan (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) – to push the advantage to 13-5 just 1:40 into the third quarter.
Julie Breedveld (Wayne, Pa./Radnor) found Daly in front of the net for a nine-goal lead with 10:32 on the clock. Just over a minute later Pasarello hit Daly, who finished for the double-digit margin. Goals from
Ella Patterson (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan), Breedveld and Daly in a 2-minute, 35-second span – with a running clock – pushed the lead to 18-5 with 6:30 showing.
• Three goals by three different Red Devils in the first five minutes of the fourth quarter closed the deficit to 18-8 but Sullivan found Breedveld before lasering home an
Emily Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) pass for the final margin.
THE INSIDE STORY
• With her 304 points,
Jordan Basso is just five points shy of matching Julika Blakenship's program record of 309 points. She also became the third player with 200 career goals in the game.
• In addition to the seven points from Basso and five from
Maddie Passarello,
Julia Daly – the two-time reigning Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week – scored another five goals to go with an assist for six points. Daly also had five ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Maddie Passarello and
Emily Seymour (Winnetka, Ill./Loyola Academy) added three ground balls and two caused turnovers each.

Caroline Sullivan reached the 200-point mark for her career.
•
Emily Crane, who had three assists in the game, finished with seven draw controls as part of an 18-13 advantage for the Bullets.
Ella Patterson added five draws to go with her one goal and one assist.
• Gettysburg outshot Dickinson 40-19 in the contest.
