THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings and wrapped up a 3-0 Centennial Conference tournament run with a shutout win over Muhlenberg, toppling the Mules 7-0 in the championship game.

THE LEADERS
Paige Forry (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) tossed a two-hit shutout to wrap a tournament in which she threw every pitch, posting a 1.00 ERA and 13 strikeouts against just two walks to claim the Most Outstanding Player honor. She fanned three in Saturday's blanking.
Julia Smith (Marydel, Md./Queen Anne's County) had a pair of hits, including blasting her first career home run in the second inning.
Carlie Goldstein (Verona, N.J./Verona) added two hits that included a first-inning, two-run double.

FOR THE FOES
• Gillian Zack was on base twice for the Mules, including with a leadoff double in the fourth.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Audrey Bergan (Encinitas, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School) led off the bottom of the first with an infield single before Julia Smith followed with a double to put runners at second and third. A one-out walk to Allegra DeCandia (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) loaded the bases and Carlie Goldstein laced the first pitch she saw through the left side for a 2-0 lead.
Anika Pelekis (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) singled in the second before a fielder's choice had Bergan at first with two outs. Smith drove an 0-2 pitch out to center field to double the advantage.
Lauren O'Leary (Manasquan, N.J./Jackson Memorial) led off the fifth with a single before Gaby Wood (Dalton, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) was hit by a pitch. A Pelekis single and throwing error allowed O'Leary to score for a 5-0 lead.
Giovanna Komst (Londonderry, N.H./Londonderry) singled with one out in the sixth before a fielding error and Goldstein single loaded the bases. Morgan DeFreitas (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) poked a two-out, pinch-hit single to right to score Komst and pinch-runner Camryn MacKay (Union Bridge, Md./Linganore) for a 7-0 lead.
Paige Forry retired the final 12 batters she faced after the Gillian Zack double that led off the fourth inning.
