GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Patrick Cline has joined the Gettysburg staff as Assistant Athletic Trainer, announced by Director of Sports Medicine Shelby Sherman.
Cline joins the Bullets staff after completing his master of science in athletic training at James Madison this past May.
This past spring Cline worked with the Bridgewater men's lacrosse team, implementing and monitoring individualized injury prevention programs, incorporating tailored exercises, joint-specific mobility work, and personal sport conditioning routines for the Eagles.
Cline also has experience working with the University Recreation Center Athletic Training Clinic during the Fall 2023 semester. He also worked with the James Madison football, women's cross country and women's tennis teams during his time in Harrisonburg.
Earlier in 2023, he worked with Mount View High School athletics, providing comprehensive medical care to various teams. While there, he educated athletes on injury prevention strategies, load management, and proper warm-up techniques.
He is a member of the National Athletic Training Association and National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is CSCS certified in addition being a certified personal trainer.
Cline earned his bachelor of science in exercise science in 2021 from Roanoke, where he was a four-year member of the Maroons men's lacrosse team. He earned the 2021 Paul S. Griffin Award, given to the athlete who displays the greatest level of dedication and leadership to their team.
