Carnegie Mellon scored twice in the game's first 32 minutes to key a 3-1 win over Gettysburg.
THE LEADERS

Chase Sempervive (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) scored the lone goal for the Bullets, pulling the hosts within 2-1 at halftime.
FOR THE FOES
• Jake Kavan scored two of the Tartans' goals.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• In the 16th minute, Rohan Dhingra lofted Carnegie Mellon's first corner kick of the game onto a waiting head of Jake Kavan, who found the back of the net for a 1-0 lead. Just over 16 minutes later, Julian Koide beat his defender and blasted a 25-yarder into the corner of the net to double the lead. After Gettysburg drew a foul in the corner of the box in the 34th minute,
Chase Sempervive stepped up and booted the penalty kick into the side of the net to cut the deficit in half.
• Sandor Preda sent a quick pass to Kavan in the top of the box and the senior buried the blast in the back of the net for a 3-1 lead in the 59th minute.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Carnegie Mellon had a slight 9-8 edge in shots and 6-4 edge in corner kicks.
