Gettysburg College Athletics

Today's non-conference game marks the sixth all-time meeting between Gettysburg (4-1) and Denison (1-3) in a series that dates back to 1980. The Bullets have won all five previous meetings but the teams haven't met since 2000.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Gettysburg defeated Denison 3-1 on Sept. 2, 2000. 

LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg scored late in the first quarter and early in the second quarter to key a 4-1 win over Juniata. Sabrina Post scored her first two goals to lead the Bullets. Caitlin Steffle scored the lone goal for the Eagles. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

MULTIPLE LOOKS: In the last three games, Gettysburg has had a player score multiple goals. Jillian Somers started the stretch with her first collegiate multi-goal goal in a 4-3 win over Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday. On Sunday, it was Bella Bonazinga registering the Bullets' first hat trick since 2016 in a 3-0 win at Washington & Jefferson. Then on Wednesday, freshman Sabrina Post tallied the first two goals of her career in a 4-1 win over Juniata. Bonazinga leads the team in scoring with seven goals this season.

LAST TIME OUT: Coming off an overtime loss fewer than 24 hours before, Denison found its offensive footing in a 4-2 win over Concordia Wisconsin on Sunday. Claire Willoughby scored her first two goals of the season in the win. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

WEEKEND WARRIORS: This will be the third straight weekend that the Big Red has played two games in a weekend. The opening weekend was a Friday-Sunday setup at Christopher Newport against the Captains and Mary Washington. Last weekend, Denison hosted Rochester on Saturday and Concordia-Wisconsin on Sunday. This weekend, the trip starts with today's game here before a trip to Randolph-Macon tomorrow. The Big Red's first midweek game will come on Wednesday when it opens NCAC play at home against Wooster.
