Gettysburg hit .337 to sweep Rowan 3-0 on the first night of the Messiah Invitational.
THE LEADERS

Alycen Radolovic (Willoughby, Ohio/Beaumont School) led the Bullets on attack with 10 kills and hit .471.
•
Kierra Fox (Phoenix, Ariz./Rancho Solano Prep School) and
Nala Shearer (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) steadied the defense with 12 and 11 digs, respectively.
FOR THE FOES
• Jena Kaul and Hutton Cordrey led the Profs with six kills each.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Tied at 4-all in the first set, a
Sophie Nasir (Covina, Calif./St. Lucy's Priory) ace keyed a 7-0 run that opened up an 11-4 lead. Gettysburg put together another run of five straight points to stretch the lead to 18-7 en route to a 25-13 win.
• Leading 9-6 in the second set,
Clare Farrell (Livingston, N.J./Academy of St. Elizabeth) put down a kill to start a 5-0 run to open up an eight-point edge. Back-to-back
Mary Huegel (Marlboro, N.J./Colts Neck) aces stretched the lead to 24-10 en route to a 25-11 victory.
• The third set was tied at 9-all before back-to-back Farrell kills put the Bullets in front for good. Gettysburg scored six of the final seven points for a 25-16 win and the sweep.
THE INSIDE STORY

Kendall Erpenbeck (San Jose, Calif./Prospect) and
Sophie Nasir contributed 20 and 11 assists, respectively. Nasir added three aces and four digs while Erpenbeck had an ace and three digs.
