THE REST OF THE STORY

• Trailing 16-9 in the second set,

Ellen Manke (Madison, N.J./Morristown Beard School) put down a kill to make it 20-18 and start a 4-0 run that made it 21-20. The teams then traded points until Farrell finished the set with back-to-back kills for a 25-23 win.
• Trailing 4-3 in the third set, four Radolovic kills keyed a 6-0 run to give Gettysburg an 8-4 lead. The Bullets put together another trio of mini-runs to complete the sweep, 25-16.
• Against Cortland, the teams were back-and-forth to start the first set before a 4-1 run that included points from four different Gettysburg players opened up an 11-9 lead. Two more 4-1 stretches extended the lead to 16-12 and then 20-14. The Red Dragons worked the score back to even at 24-all but
Erin Gonzalez (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) capped a 27-25 win with a kill.

• Cortland jumped out to an 11-4 lead in the third set before four straight Bullet points closed the margin to 11-8. A
Catherine Holtz (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) kill made it a 15-14 score before a service error gave the Red Dragons a two-point edge. Gonzalez started a run of eight straight points to build a 22-16 lead en route to a 25-20 victory.
