THE SKINNY STORY
After a late rally gave Catholic a 26-24 win in the first set, Gettysburg won three in a row for a 3-1 victory.
THE LEADERS

Erin Gonzalez (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) led the Bullets with a double-double, recording season bests of 14 kills and 16 digs. She also had four blocks and hit .324 on the night.
FOR THE FOES
• Tanya Sichling led the Cardinals with 12 kills and three blocks.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• A pair of
Kendall Erpenbeck (San Jose, Calif./Prospect) aces keyed a 4-0 run in the first set that helped Gettysburg open up an 11-8 edge. The lead grew as large as six on a block from
Gianna Galli (Demarest, N.J./Northern Valley Regional) and
Catherine Holtz (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) to make it 16-10. Trailing 21-17, Catholic clawed back into the set with two Gaby Hernandez-Ferraiuoli aces tthat keyed a run of five straight points that gave the visitors a 24-23 edge. After the teams traded points, Anna Maria Carella put down an ace to win the opening set.
• After a back-and-forth start to the second set,
Halle Feth (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County) served six straight points to open up an 11-5 lead. Galli had a pair of blocks during the run. Catholic never got closer than four the rest of the way and
Erin Gonzalez wrapped up a 25-15 win with a kill.
• The third set featured eight ties and four lead changes early. Tied at 8-all, Gonzelez knocked down back-to-back kills and then Erpenbeck followed with an ace for an 11-8 edge and Gettysburg did not trail the rest of the set, winning 25-18.
• Back-to-back
Ione Pedersen (Avon, Colo./Eagle Valley) keyed a run of five straight service points from Gonzalez top build a 5-1 lead. Clinging to a 14-13 edge, Pedersen and Gonzalez combined for four straight kills, sparking a run of 10 straight points to open up a 24-13 lead. After an Erin Faughnan kill staved off match point, Gonzalez ended the night with her final knockdown.
THE INSIDE STORY

Alycen Radolovic (Willoughby, Ohio/Beaumont School) had 15 kills to lead the attack.

Kierra Fox (Phoenix, Ariz./Rancho Solano Prep School) chipped in 14 digs and six assists.

Kendall Erpenbeck added 23 assists, six digs and three aces.
•
Halle Feth had 20 assists and six digs.
•
Mary Huegel (Marlboro, N.J./Colts Neck) chipped in seven blocks and four aces.
