THE SKINNY STORY
The Bullets came out strong scoring two in the first quarter and held strong until a late third quarter goal by Muhlenberg made it a 2-1 game. Ultimately, Gettysburg sealed the deal with their third goal by the end of the third quarter making it a 3-1 final.
THE LEADERS
• Morgan Cherry (Phillipsburg, N.J., Phillpsburg) scored the first goal of the game on a penalty stroke marking her third goal of the season.
• Bella Bonazinga (Spring Lake, N.J., Wall) had the assist for Sabrina Post (Poquoson, Va., Hampton Roads Academy) who scored goal two marking her fourth goal of the season and Bonazinga went on to score what would become the final goal of the game marking her ninth of the season.
FOR THE FOES
• Ava Rahn scored the Mules lone goal.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• The first five minutes of the game started with Muhlenberg possession and four corners however, the Bullets' defense got control and within a minute of play there was a penalty stroke scored by Morgan Cherry and a goal scored by Sabrina Post with an assist from Bella Bonazinga.
• The second and third period seemed to be a back-n-forth game with very few chances for either team. Until the very end of the third when Ava Rahn scored for the Mules and Bonazinga answered for the Bullets. With a smooth fourth period the game ended in a 3-1 win for Gettysburg.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Despite Muhlenberg finishing with advantages of 9-8 in shots and 12-9 in penalty corners Gettysburg's 9 corners and 8 shots were enough to secure the win.
