THE SKINNY STORY
Shenandoah, ranked 20th in the preseason NFHCA coaches poll, had its opportunities in the first overtime but Gettysburg thwarted the attempts before the hosts were able to register the game winner with just 1:26 remaining in the second overtime for a 2-1 win.
THE LEADERS

Bella Bonazinga (Spring Lake, N.J./Wall) recorded the equalizer for the Bullets early in the second half.
FOR THE FOES
• Cassidy Morrison scored both goals for the Hornets.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• On a corner in the 19th minute, Cassidy Morrison knocked home a pass from Elizabeth Ranberger for a 1-0 Shenandoah lead.
• Just 1:15 into the third quarter,
Bella Bonazinga found the goal for her second tally of the season, tying the game.
• Both teams had their chances through the remainder of regulation but could not score. The Hornets then outshot the Bullets 9-0 in the first overtime but three saves sent the game to a second overtime. With time waning and a shootout imminent, Morrison once again finished from Ranberger to give the hosts a 2-1 win.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Shenandoah had a 26-19 advantage in shots and 7-6 edge in penalty corners.
• It was the second overtime game in as many outings for the Bullets this season.

Emilia Saccento (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) made 11 saves in goal for Gettysburg.
