THE SKINNY STORY
Goals came in bunches for both teams but Gettysburg needed a stroke goal in the fourth minute of the first overtime to notch a 4-3 win over Ohio Wesleyan.
THE LEADERS

Jillian Somers (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) scored two goals to lead the Bullets.
•
Morgan Cherry (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) capitalized on the game-winner in overtime.
FOR THE FOES
• Mattison Hyland led the Battling Bishops with two goals of her own.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Mattison Hyland staked Ohio Wesleyan to a 1-0 lead just 3:37 into the game, cutting inside and firing just inside the post.
Jillian Somers needed just 1:04 to respond, however, finishing a pass back from
Brinsley Rushe (Darien, Conn./Darien) on a corner.
• The offenses then went silent until Somers tipped in a shot at the post at the end of the third quarter.

Bella Bonazinga (Spring Lake, N.J./Wall) fired home from the left side just 4:25 into the final period for a 3-1 lead. Avery Slucher drew the hosts back within one at the 52:25 mark before Hyland put home a rebound to tie the game just 1:21 later.
•
Morgan Cherry converted on the first opportunity of the extra session, knocking home the penalty stroke for the game-winner.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with the edge in both shots (13-21) and corners (10-8).
• The Bullets have played overtime in each of their first three games to start the season.
