THE SKINNY STORY
Swarthmore rallied late in the second set before Gettysburg won the third set but the Garnet closed out a 3-1 win to remain undefeated in conference play.
THE LEADERS

Erin Gonzalez (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) led the Bullets with 11 kills and 19 digs for her first double-double of the season.
FOR THE FOES
• Isabel Adam led the Garnet with 13 kills and 14 digs. She also had four of the hosts' 15 aces.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• The opening set featured six ties and three lead changes early. Tied at 10-all, Isabel Adam put down three kills on the next four points to open up a 13-11 edge and Swarthmore did not trail the rest of the set in a 25-19 win.
• Two
Alycen Radolovic (Willoughby, Ohio/Beaumont School) kills and a
Kendall Erpenbeck (San Jose, Calif./Prospect) ace staked Gettysburg to a 3-0 lead in the second set. The set featured nine ties and five lead changes with neither team opening up an advantage of more than four. A Radolovic kill gave the Bullets a 24-22 lead but the Garnet rallied behind a pair of Keira Miles kills for a 27-25 win.
• Swarthmore jumped out to a 6-3 lead in the third set on back-to-back Miles kills. Four straight service points from
Kierra Fox (Phoenix, Ariz./Rancho Solano Prep School), including an ace, tied the set at 8-all. After an error, a
Mary Huegel (Marlboro, N.J./Colts Neck) kill and ace helped Gettysburg take an 11-9 lead. An
Erin Gonzalez knockdown extended the lead to 15-11 and the visitors forced a fourth set, 25-20.
• After a back-and-forth start to the fourth set, Adam knocked down a kill for a 9-8 edge to spark a 15-3 run and Swarthmore closed out the match, 25-14.
THE INSIDE STORY
•
Nala Shearer (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) led the defense with a season-high 27 digs to go with nine assists.
•
Alycen Radolovic added 10 kills and two blocks while
Mary Huegel had six kills and five blocks.
