THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg competed in the White Race of the annual prestigious four-race Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh, finishing 35th in the race with 899 points.
THE LEADERS
•
Elyse Tancini (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) led the Bullets with a 110th-place showing, posting a time of 22:51.2 on the 6,000-meter course. Her time was nearly a minute faster than her 6K time last week.
FOR THE FOES
• NYU won the 45-team race with 55 points, outdistancing Carnegie Mellon by 102 points.
• RPI's Jules Bleskoski won the race with a time of 20:20.8. She was one of five runners to break 21 minutes.
THE REST OF THE STORY
•
Carys Cook (Hendersonville, Tenn./Lauralton Hall (Texas)) crossed the line 184th with a time of 23:27.1.
•
Rowe Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) was 211th with a time of 23:37.7.
•
Ava Romano (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) finished 234th with a time of 23:52.2.
•
Eliza Hoover (Mahwah, N.J./Academy of the Holy Angels) placed 263rd with a time of 24:15.2.
•
Sarah Smith (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) was 267th (24:18) while
Sara Lessard (Sharon, Mass./Sharon) was 277th (24:25.5).
•
Cassidy Gorham (311th, 24:52.8) and
Abbey Woodcome (345th, 25:17.3) rounded out the Bullet competitors.
THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 404 runners competed at the 6,000-meter distance.
•
Elyse Tancini turned in the Bullets' fifth-ranked time on the course while
Carys Cook's time ranks 22nd for Gettysburg at Lehigh.
