THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg started the day with a 4-3 home loss to Albright before traveling to Messiah and earning a 4-3 victory.
THE LEADERS

Spencer Pompian (Clayton, Mo./Clayton) won all three of his matches on the day to lead the Bullets.
FOR THE FOES
• Enrico Pucci won twice for the Lions, teaming with Karim Fattal for a 6-4 win at first doubles before winning at third singles, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.
• Micah Batson led the Falcons with an 8-1 win at sixth singles.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• In the morning match against Albright, Gettysburg won two of the three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead.
Spencer Pompian teamed with
Andy Beckerlegge (Easton, Conn./Fairfield College Prep) for a 6-4 win at third doubles while
Adam Contract (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) and
Matt Porreca (Blue Bell, Pa./La Salle College) earned the decisive point with a 7-5 victory at second doubles.
• The Lions, however, won four of the six singles matches that included sweeping a trio of three-set matches. Matias Contreras won No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-2 while
Ben O'Connor-Skloot (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y./Dobbs Ferry) and
Malek Mustafa (Raleigh, N.C./Ravenscroft School) recorded straight-set wins for Gettysburg. O'Connor-Skloot won at second singles 6-4, 7-5 while Mustafa took No. 6, 6-3, 6-3.
• In addition to Enrico Pucci's win at third singles, Marcelo Menchaca won at No. 4 singles claimed a 6-0 win in the deciding set after splitting matching 6-4 sets. Adam Good dropped the first set at fifth singles 10-8 in a tiebreaker before rallying to win the last two sets, 7-5 and 6-4.
• At Messiah, Gettysburg swept doubles.
Grayson Kahng (Metuchen, N.J./Metuchen) and
Victor Lopez (Rye Brook, N.Y./Blind Brook) won the deciding match, claiming second doubles with a 7-5 win in the tiebreaker.
Rex Bondi (Arlington, Va./Landon School) and
Jack Cranmer (Cinnaminson, N.J./Moorestown Friends School) won 6-1 at No. 3 doubles.
• Bondi and Cranmer wrapped up the double-win outing with 8-4 and 8-3 wins at fourth and fifth singles, respectively. Pompain took No. 3 singles, 8-6.
