THE SKINNY STORY
Franklin & Marshall, ranked 17th in the latest NFHCA Div. III coaches' poll, scored three goals in the first 7:18 of the third quarter to turn a 1-0 halftime edge into a 4-0 lead, defeating Gettysburg, 6-2.

Sam Woolery (Media, Pa./Penncrest) scored her first goal of the season for the Bullets.

• Caitlin Hoover led the Diplomats with a three-goal afternoon.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• After a scoreless first 27 minutes in which Gettysburg held a 6-2 advantage in shots, Keira Boensch put back her own shot-and-save with 2:17 to play until halftime for a 1-0 lead by the hosts.
• Caitlin Hoover then recorded a natural hat trick, scoring three times in a stretch of 4 minutes, 7 seconds to open up the 4-0 lead midway through the third quarter. Her first tally came on a penalty stroke at the 33:11 mark before she finished a feed from Hannah Fitzgerald nearly two minutes later and the scored unassisted two minutes after that.
Sam Woolery broke up the shutout off a feed from
Margaret-Ann Graves (Charlottesville, Va./The Covenant School) on a third shot attempt off a penalty corner in the final minute of the period.
• Fitzgerald then added a goal to her assist in the first 1:35 of the fourth quarter. Megan Dadio pushed the lead to 6-1 in the 54th minute before
Sydney Yaw (West Chester, Pa./West Chester Rustin) hit the backboard with 10 seconds remaining for the final margin.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with an 18-17 edge in shots while Franklin & Marshall held the advantage in penalty corners, 10-8.

Delaney Ellsworth (Cos Cob, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall) and
Emilia Saccento (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) combined for nine saves in the game. Ellsworth made four in the first 37 minutes before Saccento had five in the final 23.
