GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg will host one of the two first-round games of 2025 Centennial Conference (CC) men's basketball championship tournament on Tuesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
In the six-team format, the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds host the opening round. The third-seeded Bullets (19-6, 10-3 CC) hosts sixth-seeded Dickinson (9-16, 4-9 CC) in one of the first-round games. Fourth-seeded Ursinus (16-9, 9-4 CC) hosts fifth-seeded Swarthmore (17-8, 9-4 CC) in the day's other game at 8 p.m.
For the second season, the field will be reseeded for the semifinals. The higher-seeded remaining team will travel to second-seeded Johns Hopkins (16-9, 10-3 CC) in one semifinal on Friday. The lower-seeded remaining advances to top-seeded Franklin & Marshall (19-6, 11-2 CC) in the other semifinal. The game at Franklin & Marshall will begin at 7:30 p.m. while the game at Johns Hopkins begins at 8 p.m.
The semifinal winners will advance to Sunday's championship game, which will be played at the site of the highest remaining seed. Game time will be announced following the conclusion of Friday's semifinals.
Tickets will be sold for each round of the CC tournament and will be available soon on the Centennial ticketing homepage. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students age 6 through high school and senior citizens. Children five and under as well as students and staff from conference institutions are free.
The tournament's champion will earn the CC's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III tournament, slated to begin on Mar. 7. The NCAA field will be announced on Monday at 1 p.m.
The Bullets are seeking their fourth conference title and first since 2009. It is the 18th tournament appearance for Gettysburg and fourth straight. The Bullets also in search of their fifth NCAA tournament bid.
Senior
Carl Schaller (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) leads Gettysburg in scoring at 16.6 points per game. He is also tied for the team lead with 66 assists while adding a team-best 30 steals and 48 3-pointers. Senior
Jordan Stafford (Galloway, N.J./St. Joseph Hammonton) and junior
Nate Williams (Morganville, N.J./St. John Vianney) are also averaging double figures. Stafford is averaging 15.7 ppg with 66 assists, 24 steals and 5.0 rebounds per game. He is shooting 57.1 percent from the floor. Williams is averaging 13.6 ppg with 38 assists, 23 steals and 43 triples.
Sophomore
Aidan Mess (Brookeville, Md./Mt. St. Joseph) leads the team in rebounding at 6.9 rebounds per game and blocked shots with 52. He is adding 7.0 points per game.
