INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA has announced the swimming field for the 2025 Division III men's and women's swimming and diving championship to be held at the Greensboro Aquatics Center in Greensboro, N.C., on Mar. 19-22 and Gettysburg had eight individuals among those invited.
Sophomore
Ava Berry (Raleigh, N.C./Sanderson) earned an individual qualifier in the 1,650 freestyle and will compete in the longest event at the championship in addition to the 500 freestyle and 400 individual medley. Sophomore
Lanie McKenzie (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) also claimed an individual qualifier in the 200 IM and will also compete in the 100 and 200 backstroke.
Additionally, all three freestyle relays qualified on time, making the Bullets eligible to swim up to 14 events over the four-day championship.

Ava Collin (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga), Berry, Yancey and McKenzie combined to qualify for the 800 free relay. Yancey, Lawton,
Mia Morreale (Short Hills, N.J./Millburn) and Collin combined to qualify for the 400 free relay.
Berry is ranked 20th in the 1,650 freestyle after turning in a gold-medal performance at the Centennial Conference (CC) championship on Sunday night. Her time of 17:14:33 ranks second in program history. The event will be contested on Saturday, Mar. 22. By virtue of being in the field on time, she is also invited to swim in the 500 freestyle relay, where she is ranked 40th after a bronze medal at the CC championship. Her time of 5:02.01 is also second in program history. That event is contested on Wednesday, Mar. 19. She rounds out her individual program in the 400 IM, which is contested on Thursday, Mar. 20, with the 29th-fastest time in the field after a silver-medal time of 4:27.78 at the conference championship to rank second in program history.
McKenzie is ranked 21st in the 200 IM after claiming a silver medal at the CC championship with her time of 2:05.15, which is second in program history. The event will be contested on Wednesday, Mar. 19. She is also invited to swim the 100 backstroke, which is contested on Friday, Mar. 21. She rounds out her individual program in the 200 backstroke, where she won silver at the championship with a time of 2:04.37, which is second in program history.
The 200 free relay turned in a program-record time of 1:33.56 to claim the silver medal at last weekend's conference championship. The group is ranked 14th. The event is contested on Thursday, Mar. 20.
The 800 free relay claimed the silver on the opening night of the CC championship with a program-record time of 7:34.48. The quartet enters the championship ranked 20th in the event which will be contested on Friday, Mar. 21.
The 400 free relay capped the championship meet with another relay silver, finishing with a time of 3:27.29. The event is the final event at the national meet and is contested on Saturday, Mar. 22.
Gettysburg will also have the ability to swim the 400 medley relay and/or 200 medley relay with the eight athletes in attendance if it so chooses. The Bullets are ranked 25th on the 400 list with a seed time of 3:49.73 and 23rd on the 200 list with a time of 1:44.19. The 400 medley relay is contested on Wednesday, Mar. 19 while the 200 medley relay is contested on Friday, Mar. 21.
By virtue of being in the field as members of the relay, Yancey and Morreale are able to swim the individual events in which they have hit B-Cut times.
Yancey won gold in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:51.79. That time is ranked 30th in the field. The event is contested on Thursday, Mar. 20.
Morreale bettered her own program record in the 200 backstroke, winning gold at the conference championship. Her time of 2:02.79 ranks 29th in the field.
All events are contested with morning preliminaries. The top 16 swimmers advance to the finals during the evening session. Trials begin at 10 a.m. each day with the finals sessions beginning at 6 p.m.
