OPENING DRAW: Today's non-conference game marks the 15th all-time meeting between No. 9 Gettysburg (2-0) and No. 4 Washington and Lee (3-1) in a series that dates back to 1992. The Bullets lead the all-time series 9-5 but the Generals have won two of the three meetings over the last two seasons. The Bullets win in that stretch came in the third round of the NCAA tournament.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Washington and Lee used a big second quarter to lead by four goals at halftime and outscored Gettysburg 3-1 in the final quarter to seal the 13-8 victory. Jordan Basso led the Bullets with four goals. Lily Macatee tallied six ground balls and two caused turnovers. Alex Petras led the Generals with four goals. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg, ranked ninth, limited No. 19 Denison to just one goal in the game's first 34 minutes to key a 16-6 win in the home opener last Saturday. Lily Macatee led the defensive effort for the Bullets with six draw controls and three ground balls. Emily Crane led the attack with four goals and one assist to go with six draw controls. NO. 9 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg was ranked ninth in the preseason IWLCA Div. III coaches' poll and has remained there in the first three polls.

HEY, MICKEY, YOU'RE SO FINE: Michaela Kelly has had a strong start to her sophomore campaign. After appearing in 11 games with just one goal and one assist as a rookie last season, Kelly has scored multiple goals in each of the first two games this season. She is currently third on the team with five goals and eight points. She recorded three goals to go with one assist in the opener at Messiah before tallying two goals and two assists in the opener against Denison last Saturday. 

LAST TIME OUT: Fourth-ranked Washington and Lee rolled past Ferrum 19-0 in ODAC play on Tuesday. The Generals scored seven goals in the first quarter. W&L's offensive balance was evident as 13 different players recorded a goal. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

DEFENSIVE MINDED: Washington and Lee has posted two shutouts in its first four games of the season. The Generals have not allowed a goal in their first two ODAC games. Overall, the defense has posted a 5.75 goals-against average this season. The season started with a 16-12 loss at Franklin & Marshall but also includes a 13-7 home win over Salisbury. The two conference games have been a 25-0 win over Guilford and 19-0 win at Ferrum. Libby Ford leads the defense with seven caused turnovers and 12 ground balls.
