LANCASTER, Pa. –
Jack Pistner (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial), a senior on the Gettysburg baseball team, and
Alex Wilkie-Viscio (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh), a junior, have been named Centennial Conference (CC) Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for the week of Mar. 3-9.
Pistner led the Bullets (8-0) to a 3-0 week, hitting .583 on the week. He went 7-for-12 from the plate with three triples and a home run. He also scored five runs and drove in 12. Against Wilson on Tuesday, he tied the program record for RBIs in a single game with eight.
Wilkie-Viscio recorded his first collegiate complete-game shutout on Saturday in a 7-0 win over Waynesburg. He fanned seven and did not walk any, scattering four hits.
For the season, Pistner is hitting .367 with 11 hits, 11 runs scored and a team-high 17 RBIs. He has three triples and a home run for a .700 slugging percentage. Wilkie-Viscio is 2-0 on the year with a 2.50 ERA. He has struck out 13 batters with no walks in 18 innings of work.
Gettysburg returns to action against Thiel on Tuesday. Game time is 10 a.m.
