  • Jamie Shaw (Mount Airy, Md.) also went 2-for-3 against Ohio Northern and went 2-for-2 against Westminster.
FOR THE FOES
  • Jaylee Fansler went 2-for-4 for the Polar Bears adding an RBI as well.
  • Lily Jordan hit two on two at bats adding an RBI and eventually scoring for the Titans.
THE REST OF THE STORY
  • The top of the third saw Ohio Northern score first making it 2-0 before the Bullets got up to bat.
  • Late in the bottom of the third Morgan Morgan DeFreitas (Coatesville, Pa.) singled which advanced already on runners Carlie Goldstein (Verona, Va.) to second,Renee Laczkowski (Erie, Colo.) to third, and Jamie Shaw (Mount Airy, Md.) to home putting Gettysburg on the board.
  • Bottom of the fourth started with Anika Pelekis (Ridgewood, N.J.) singling through the right side. With one out Abigail Gold (Apex, N.C.) singled off of a bunt advancing Pelekis and Audrey Bergan (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif.) singled through the left side right after to load the bases.
  • By the end of the inning Shaw was walked putting Pelekis at home evening the playing field for the Bullets.
  • Pelekis singled through the left side with two outs to extend the bottom of the fifth. After a walk from Todd, with Alyna Balewitz (Kendall Park, N.J.) pinch running for her, Balewitz and Pelekis advance on a wild pitch setting up scoring position for the Bullets. Another walk and Gold at first loads the bases. With Bergan up to bat a passed ball scored Pelekis giving the Bullets their first lead of the game.
  • Top of the sixth and one out Callie Rosser advanced to second for Ohio Northern and Mackenzie Hannahs reached on an error from short which Rosser takes advantage of and gets another run making it even again.
  • Bullets up to bat and Shaw reached on an error by left field moving to second on the throw. With two outs DeFreitas reached on another error and advanced to second on the throw scoring Shaw. The Bullets held Ohio Northern in the top of the seventh securing the win.
  • In Game 2 Gettysburg took the early lead scoring four in the first. Bergan started the inning off with a single to third and on the next batter stole second and advanced to third on the throwing error from the catcher.
  • Next up Shaw was walked and stole second as well. With two on Laczkowski grounded out to third still advancing Shaw and scoring Bergan putting the Bullets on the board.
  • Goldstein sacrificed to left scoring Shaw and Lauren O'Leary (Manasquan, N.J.) reached on an error by short. Elliana Hopple (Collegeville, Pa.) doubles to center scoring O'Leary in the process. Jordan Pansy (Stroudsburg, Pa.) at the plate singled down the left field line with speed scoring Hopple.
  • Westminster answered almost right away scoring one in the bottom of the first with two outs but couldn't find a rhythm to add more.
  • After a quick second inning Gettysburg opened up in the third with a double through the left side from Goldstein. O'Leary puts it through for a single advancing Goldstein. Before Hopple is walked O'Leary stole second loading the bases for Pansy, however, she fouls out to the catcher.
  • The bases still loaded Gabby Wood (Dalton, Pa.) stepped up and reached on an error by third scoring Goldstein and advancing the rest while reloading the bases. Pelekis singled to right center scoring O'Leary for run number six with the bases still loaded Bergan singled to left center adding run number seven by scoring Hopple
  • Still with only one out and the bases still loaded Shaw singled through the right side scoring Wood. Westminster brings in a pitching change in Grace Kissick however it's not enough to stop the Bullets as Laczkowski grounds out Pelekis scored taking the score to 9-1.
  • With Goldstein back up to the plate she adds another double to left center scoring both Shaw and Bergan before the inning is complete.
  • Gettysburg tacked on another run late in the top of the fourth and almost holds the Titans to one until a wild pitch scores Lily Jordan resulting in a 12-2 win.
