LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the first four innings en route to a 16-4 victory over Lasell to cap its eight-game trip to Fort Pierce, Fla., with a perfect 8-for-8 mark. Jack Pistner led the Bullets with five hits, three RBIs and two runs scored, including a triple. Matt Nichols added four hits of his own, chipping in two RBIs and a run scored. AMONG THE RANKS: Gettysburg entered the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Div. III poll at 21st when the Week 3 ranking was released on Monday night. The Bullets are in the poll for the first time since the 2014 season and off to the best start in program history with 14 straight victories to start the year. Gettysburg has the longest winning streak in Division III and is one of three teams in Division III that remains undefeated with a minimum of five games played. The offense is hitting .334 as a team with six starters hitting .300 or better on the year. The pitching staff has an ERA of 3.00 as a corps. Seven of the 10 pitchers with seven or more innings of work this season have an earned-run average of 2.35 or better.
