THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg had a pair of five-run innings to key a 14-10 win over Stevenson.

FOR THE FOES
• John Padousis went 3-for-3 to lead the Mustangs, scoring one run.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• After Gettysburg stranded the bases loaded in the top of the first, Graham Sears led off the home first with a single. Christopher Manco followed with a single before an error and fielder's choice gave Stevenson a 2-0 lead. A two-out, two-run single from Brandon Perillo made it a 4-0 lead.
Alexey Stout (Wall, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) and Brian Andersen (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) each singled to lead off the second before a Will Bercaw (Kennett Square, Pa./Pennington) followed with a bunt single to load the bases with no outs. With two outs, Adam Hicks (Edgewater, Md./Gilman School) and Jack Pistner (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) each drew walks to force in a run before Emmanuel Ajewole's bases-clearing double gave Gettysburg a 5-4 lead.
• John Padousis led off the bottom of the second with a double. Back-to-back walks loaded the bases before the Bullets' turned a double play while allowing the tying run to score. A passed ball gave the Mustangs a 6-5 edge.
• A pair of walks and an error tied the game in the top of the third before Stevenson got the one-run lead back on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the frame.
• In the fourth, Pistner led off the inning with a single up the middle before a wild pitch and Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) single put runners at the corners with one out. A Stout walk loaded the bases for Andersen, who made it back-to-back bases on balls to tie the game at 7-all. Bercaw singled home Murphy and a two-run Jack Burke (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) gave the Bullets an 11-7 lead.
• A walk, Nick Tamberino double and RBI groundout made it 11-8 in the home fourth.
• Bercaw manufactured a run in the sixth to push the lead back to four. He walked to lead off the inning, stole second, moved to second on a ground out and scored on a Burke sacrifice fly.
• Stevenson cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the inning. A single and two walks loaded the bases before a Kaige Garrity single and squeeze play made it 12-10.
• Ajewole singled with one out in the seventh before a Murphy single down the line put runners at the corners and Gettysburg responded with its own squeeze to push the lead to 13-10.
• A pair of walks and Matthew Vivona (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) sacrifice fly made it 14-10 in the top of the ninth before the game was called due to darkness with two outs.
