Gettysburg jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the first four innings en route to a 16-4 victory over Lasell to cap its eight-game trip to Fort Pierce, Fla., with a perfect 8-for-8 mark.
THE LEADERS

Jack Pistner (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) led the Bullets with four hits, three RBIs and two runs scored, including a triple.

Matt Nichols (White Plains, N.Y./Byram Hills) added four hits of his own, chipping in two RBIs and a run scored.

• With
Will Stellato (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) at second after being hit by a pitch and stealing the bag,
Matt Nichols singled to center with two outs for a 1-0 lead. A walk to
Michael Fischetti (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) and
Jack Amirata's (Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberley Academy) first collegiate home run staked Gettysburg to a 4-0 lead.
• Back-to-back one-out doubles from Tim Callahan and Connor Freitas made it a 4-1 game in the bottom of the first.
• A
Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Gov. Livingston) walk and
Jack Burke (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) single coupled with a two-out error pushed the lead to 6-1 in the second.
• A Burke doubles and
Jack Pistner RBI single made it 7-1 in the fourth before a Murphy squeeze with one out scored Amirata for an 8-1 led in the fifth.
• Scott Lyon and Jared Whitby led off the home fifth with doubles to key a three-run counter and close the deficit to 8-4.
• Singles from Pistner and Nichols in the eighth coupled with a one-out wild pitch made it 9-4 before the Bullets exploded for seven in the ninth. With the bases loaded and one out, Pistner tripled to clear the bases to make it 12-4. Doubles from
Matthew Vivona (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) and
Ben Leshgold (Los Angeles, Calif./Windward) scored the final three runs to cap the big frame.
