THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 21st in the latest NFCA Div. III coaches' poll, had a four-run inning in each game to help sweep Mary Washington. The Bullets took game one 7-2 before completing the sweep, 9-4.

THE LEADERS
Audrey Bergan (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School) led the offense for the Bullets with five total hits, including a pair of doubles.
Audrey Wright (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) finished game one before going the distance in game two with four strikeouts and no walks.

FOR THE FOES
• Shelby Presgrave had two hits and an RBI in game one to pace the Eagles.
• Sofia Marshall went 2-for-3 in game two.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• In the opener, Elliana Hopple (Collegeville, Pa./The Episcopal Academy) led off the second inning with a double before scoring from third on a two-out Audrey Bergan double for a 1-0 lead.
• A hit batter and two-out error in the third opened the door for a four-run frame. Hopple followed the error with an RBI single before a walk and two-run Jordan Pansy (Stroudsburg, Pa./Notre Dame) single and second Bergan RBI double in as many innings stretched the lead to 5-0.
Lauren O'Leary (Manasquan, N.J./Jackson Memorial) led off the fifth with a triple and scored on an error for a 6-0 advantage.
Renee Laczkowski (Erie, Colo./Erie) singled to start the seventh before a walk and one-out Anika Pelekis (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) single scored pinch-runner Bella Rausch (Boise, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) for a 7-0 lead.
• Two walks, a fielder's choice and back-to-back two-out RBI singles from Emily Angel and Shelby Presgrave in the bottom of the seventh set the final margin.
• In game two, Bergan led off the game with a single before a one-out Hopple single and Morgan DeFreitas (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) walk loaded the bases. Laczkowski followed with a grand slam to stake the Bullets to an early 4-0 lead.
• Angel responded with a two-out home run of her own in the bottom of the inning to make it 4-1.
• Gettysburg got that run right back in the second with a Zoe Brennan (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) leadoff walk, sacrifice and RBI groundout from Jamie Shaw (Mt. Airy, Md./Glenelg) to make it 5-1.
• DeFreitas led off the third with a long ball for a 6-1 advantage before the Bullets tacked on three more in the top of the seventh. Brennan led off with a double before Bergan singled up the middle. An error, RBI groundout and Gabby Wood (Dalton, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) pinch-hit single opened up a 9-1 lead.
• With one out in the bottom of the frame, Emma Dickson singled and Taylor Moody doubled before a error and fielder's choice set the 9-3 final.

THE INSIDE STORY
• In addition to a three-hit game from Audrey Bergan in the opener, Elliana Hopple added two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored.
• Bergan added two hits in game two while Zoe Brennan was also 2-for-2 with two runs scored.
