THE SKINNY STORY

THE LEADERS
•
Lily Macatee (Street, Md./North Harford) led the Bullets with a season-high 12 draw controls to give her 310 for her career. In addition to becoming the first Gettysburg player to reach 300 for her career, Macatee moved into third place in Centennial Conference history.
•
Nina Marra (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) paced the attack with a career-high four goals and an assist.
FOR THE FOES
• Ally Tobler led the Lions with four goals and two assists. She also won eight draw controls.
THE REST OF THE STORY
•
Sophie Smith (Great Fall, Va./Langley) staked Gettysburg to a 1-0 lead, taking a pass from
Lauren O'Connell (Winchester, Va./Winchester) and finishing just over four minutes in the game. Ally Tobler then found the equalizer with 4:08 showing in the first quarter before she hit Marissa Lucca in front for a 2-1 lead in the waning seconds of the opening period.
•
Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) then went to work behind the net, snapping a more than 21-minute scoring drought by finding
Nina Marra with 4:26 showing in the second quarter for the equalizer. Kelly then hit
Julie Breedveld (Wayne, Pa./Radnor) in front of the cage 19 seconds later for a 3-2 lead.
Emily Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) found Marra 32 seconds later before finishing a solo run with 2:37 on the clock for a 5-2 lead.
• Veronica Campbell finished a Tobler feed for an advantage goal 1:20 into the third period to cut the margin back to two. Crane, however, took an outlet pass and sprinted three-quarters of the field to push the lead back to three with 10:40 to play. Tobler and Gabriella Roosa sandwiched another Crane tally to make it 7-5 with 7:05 showing. However, a pair of Kelly-to-Breedveld connections 68 seconds apart stretched the lead to four with 4:15 on the clock. A Tobler advantage goal with 3:28 showing made it 9-6 after three quarters.
• After Smith and Tobler traded markers in the opening 1:32 of the fourth quarter,
Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) scored twice in a 2-minute, 34-second stretch to make it a 12-7 game. Two more Marra goals – one from Crane and one from
Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) – around a Naomi Kahney tally set the final margin.
