LANCASTER, Pa. – Three members of the Gettysburg men's basketball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Tuesday.
Jordan Stafford (Galloway, N.J./St. Joseph Hammonton) was named Defensive Player of the Year in addition to earning a spot on the first team.
Carl Schaller (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) joined him on the first team while
Nate Williams (Morganville, N.J./St. John Vianney) was tabbed honorable mention.
Stafford, a senior guard, earned his second straight first-team nod after being named second team in 2023. The Player of the Year last season, he is the first Bullet player to be named Defensive Player of the Year. Starting 26 of 27 games, he is averaging 16.1 points per game, which ranks second on the team. A 56.7-percent shooter from the floor, he has a team-high 173 field goals that have included 14 triples. He is also averaging 4.9 rebounds per game to go with 73 assists, 26 steals and 19 blocked shots. He has reached double figures in 23 games, including eight 20-point performances.
Schaller, a senior guard, earned his third straight all-conference nod after back-to-back honorable mention honors. Starting all 27 games, he leads the team in scoring at 16.3 points per game. He has a team-best 52 made 3-pointers and is made 101 of 137 free throws. He also leads the team with 78 assists and 35 steals. Schaller has reached double figures in 22 games, including cracking the 20-point mark 10 times.
Williams, a junior guard, is making his first appearance on the all-conference team. Starting all 24 of the 25 games he has played, he is third on the team in scoring at 13.4 points per game. He is also pulling down 4.8 rebounds per game and has dished out 41 assists and nabbed 26 steals. He is shooting 42.2 percent from the floor with 47 3-pointers. He has scored 18 or more points in eight games this season.
Jake Bertolini-Felice (Cary, N.C./Trinity Academy of Raleigh) garnered a spot on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Bullets (20-7, 10-3 CC) earned the No. 3 seed in the CC tournament and advanced to the CC semifinals for the fourth straight year. Gettysburg earned an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament and will play its first-round game against Chatham on Friday at Wesleyan. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
