THE REST OF THE STORY
  • At the top of the second Lauren O'Leary (Manasquan, N.J., Jackson Memorial) takes a pitch before advancing to third on a double from Morgan DeFreitas (Coatesville, Pa., Downingtown West) and eventually scores off a sacrifice fly from Anika Pelekis (Ridgewood, N.J., Ridgewood).
  • Late in the bottom of the fifth Riley Chartier starts the Bison off with a single to left field and was later out at second however the fielder's choice left pinch hitter Hannah Cozza on the bag. Cozza advances to second off a walk from Sarah Dupre.
  • Ava Slavinsky singles through the right side scoring Cozza and advancing Dupre, with two outs, who then stole home on the next at bat ending the inning.
  • Bullets hold the Bison to only two in the top of the seventh and Audrey Bergan (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif., La Jolla Country Day School) singles through the left side, with two outs, to get things going however she's left on base.
  • In game 2 Gabby Wood (Dalton, Pa., Tunkhannock Area)scores by the end of the second off an error giving the Bullets another early lead.
  • At the top of the fourth Salyssa Garcia walks with two outs. She later advances to second on a hit by pitch and then to third on a passed ball putting the Vikings in scoring position. However Kathryn Keehn flies out to center leaving two on.
  • Wood is walked and then steals second to open the bottom of the fourth.
  • Pelekis follows with another walk putting two on base when Abigail Gold (Apex, N.C., Apex) reaches on an error by third base loading the bases.
  • Bergan singled through the right side keeping the bases loaded. Jamie Shaw (Mount Airy, Md., Glenelg) follows suit scoring Pelekis and reloaded the bases putting the Bullets up to 3-0 with no outs. Gold scores on the next at bat making it four.
  • Carlie Goldstein (Verona, Va., Verona) singled down the left and rounds out to second on the left fielders throw pushing Shaw into scoring position while Bergan made it home.
  • After a North Park pitching change O'Leary is walked loading the bases again before Lily Mader (Las Vegas, Nev., Valley) also walks pushing Shaw to the plate making it a 6-0 lead with only one out.
  • Wood collects the second out but not before Goldstein scores and O'Leary makes it to third. Pelekis reaches on an error from first base pushing Mader and scoring O'Leary. After a wild pitch shifts the runners Gold singled and an error pushes her to second scoring Pelekis and Mader.
