Johns Hopkins, ranked fourth in the latest D3baseball.com poll, broke open a 1-0 game with three runs in the fifth inning to help defeat No. 13 Gettysburg, 9-0.

Jack Pistner (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) recorded two of the Bullets' five hits on the day.
FOR THE FOES
• Dillon Souvignier led the Blue Jays with two hits, including a three-run home run in the seventh.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Caleb homered to right with two outs in the bottom of the fourth to break up a scoreless game.
• A hit batter and walk with two outs preceded a Jacob Harris single to make it 2-0. A walk and throwing error stretched the lead to 4-0.
• Dillon Souvignier singled up the middle with one out in the sixth before stealing second, taking third on a wild pitch and scoring on a Clay Hartje sacrifice fly for a 5-0 lead.
• Harris singled to lead off the home seventh before an Alex Shane double and error made it 6-0. A one-out walk and Souvignier home run set the final margin.

Jack Rossi (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) pitched the eighth inning for Gettysburg, striking out all three batters he faced.
• Johns Hopkins finished with just seven hits but took advantage of six free passes.
