THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 17th in the latest NFCA Div. III coaches' poll, plated a run in the bottom of the seventh in game one for a 2-1 victory before scoring four runs over its final two at bats in game two to complete the sweep, 9-6.

THE LEADERS
Audrey Bergan (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School) led the Bullets with four hits and two walks in the doubleheader. She also scored a run and drove in two.
Paige Forry (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) threw nine innings in the circle with 16 total strikeouts to earn a win in game one and save in game two.

FOR THE FOES
• Morgan Sauers led the Spartans with two hits in each game with a double in game one. She also scored a run in each contest.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Lauren O'Leary (Manasquan, N.J./Jackson Memorial) drew a one-out walk in the bottom of the second before going first to third on a Carlie Goldstein (Verona, N.J./Verona) single to right. A two-out Audrey Bergan single through the left side staked Gettysburg to a 1-0 lead.
• Morgan Sauers doubled with one out in the top of the third before scoring on a Jordyn Woodling double to tie the game.
• That score held until Jamie Shaw (Mt. Airy, Md./Glenelg) slapped a triple to right to lead off the seventh inning. Elliana Hopple (Collegeville, Pa./The Episcopal Academy) followed with a hit into shallow left to score Shaw with the game-winning run.
• In game two, Woodling led off with a single to left before Sauers made it back-to-back hits. With two in scoring position, Gretchen Barstad tripled for a 2-0 before Alexis McDonaugh singled for 3-0 lead.
Anika Pelekis (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) walked to start the home second before a one-out single from Lily Mader (Las Vegas, Nev./Valley) and Jordan Pansy (Stroudsburg, Pa./Notre Dame) fielder's choice put runners at the corners. A passed ball and Bergan RBI single made it 3-2 before walks to Shaw and Hopple loaded the bases. A Morgan DeFreitas (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) bases-clearing double gave the Bullets a 5-3 lead.
• In the top of the fifth, McDonaugh led off with a single before a one-out walk to Bri McKeown. A Danella Silagy infield single loaded the bases with two outs. A Rylee Dryer single through the left side scored pinch-runner Devyn McFarland before Woodling plated two with a single to center for a 6-5 lead.
• After a walk and fielder's choice, Pelekis singled. Two wild pitches and a fielding error gave Gettysburg a 7-6 edge.
• A Shaw infield single led off the sixth before DeFreitas singled with one out to put runners at the corner. Pinch-runner Zoe Brennan (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) stole second before a fielding error scored Shaw and a Pelekis RBI single to the gap set the final margin.

THE INSIDE STORY
Paige Forry struck out a career-high 12 batters in the opener. She walked just one and scattered five hits.

• In game two, Audrey Wright (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) struck out four in five innings to improve to 7-1 before Forry fanned four in the final two frames for her third save.
