NO. 16 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg dropped three spots to No. 16 in the latest D3baseball.com poll.
RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY: The Centennial Conference baseball teams got through the first six games before weather started wreaking havoc with the schedule. The entire conference slate in the midweek was moved from Tuesday to Wednesday due to cold weather and unplayable field conditions. Rain in the Mid-Atlantic Region since Thursday forced the Friday portion of the midweek slate to also get moved. With the move of Saturday doubleheaders taking priority on Sunday, those single games are moved to Monday in advance of the start of next week's midweek home-and-home series on Tuesday.
TAKE ALS YARD: Today is Gettysburg's annual Take ALS Yard doubleheader. Take ALS Yard merchandise will be sold all day and donations will be accepted. Between games, there will be a ceremony commemorating Tommy Kirchhoff and Robert Borman and highlight the important work this program has done in order to raise money for such an important cause. If you would like to learn more about the campaign, visit the website at takealsyard.com. To donate money towards a great cause, visit the campaign web page at Project ALS. All funds donated go to Project ALS, an organization that funds amyotrophic lateral sclerosis research.
