FIRST PITCH: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) doubleheader marks the 67th and 68th all-time meetings between No. 16 Gettysburg (24-5, 3-4 CC) and Swarthmore (15-13, 6-1 CC) in a series that dates back to 1922. The Bullets lead the all-time series 39-27 but the Garnet has won eight of the last nine matchups.

LAST SEASON'S SERIES: Swarthmore withstood a late game two rally from Gettysburg to complete a sweep. The Garnet captured game one 11-3 before taking the nightcap 10-8 last season in Swarthmore. Jack Pistner led the Bullets with a with two hits in each game, including a game-one home run. Jeff Shue led the Garnet with four hits on the day that included a three-hit opener with three extra-base hits. (Full Recap) (Game 1 Box) (Game 2 Box)

LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg scored three runs in the eighth inning to open up a five-run lead and ultimately defeat Dickinson 7-3 on Wednesday. Jack Burke led the Bullets two hits and three RBIs on the day. Ryan Thompson led the Red Devils with three hits and also drew a walk. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

NO. 16 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg dropped three spots to No. 16 in the latest D3baseball.com poll.

RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY: The Centennial Conference baseball teams got through the first six games before weather started wreaking havoc with the schedule. The entire conference slate in the midweek was moved from Tuesday to Wednesday due to cold weather and unplayable field conditions. Rain in the Mid-Atlantic Region since Thursday forced the Friday portion of the midweek slate to also get moved. With the move of Saturday doubleheaders taking priority on Sunday, those single games are moved to Monday in advance of the start of next week's midweek home-and-home series on Tuesday.

TAKE ALS YARD: Today is Gettysburg's annual Take ALS Yard doubleheader. Take ALS Yard merchandise will be sold all day and donations will be accepted. Between games, there will be a ceremony commemorating Tommy Kirchhoff and Robert Borman and highlight the important work this program has done in order to raise money for such an important cause. If you would like to learn more about the campaign, visit the website at takealsyard.com. To donate money towards a great cause, visit the campaign web page at Project ALS. All funds donated go to Project ALS, an organization that funds amyotrophic lateral sclerosis research.

LAST TIME OUT: Swarthmore erupted for a season-high 19 runs in a 19-4 win at Washington on Wednesday. Eight different players drove in runs as the Garnet racked up 14 hits, nine walks, seven hit batters, and seven stolen bases. Aidan Sullivan and Nathaniel Kittredge led the offensive surge with four RBIs apiece, while Sullivan, Matthew Silvestre and Zac Kahn each homered. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

GETTING OFFENSIVE: The Garnet exploded for 19 runs in a seven-inning, run-rule win at Washington on Wednesday. The run total was not only a season high for Swarthmore but also more than surprised their combined run total from the previous three games. The Garnet had produced just 12 runs in 27 innings and are now averaging 8.0 runs per game through its first seven CC contests. Swarthmore averaged 8.3 runs per game through its first three games before scoring six or fewer in each of its next three contests.
