LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg, ranked 21st, scored 11 runs in the top of the first inning before McDaniel came back to take a 17-16 lead in the sixth inning. The Bullets, however, regained the lead in the top of the seventh with a four-run frame and held on to win 21-17 on Friday. Jack Pistner led the barrage with a Centennial Conference record-tying three home runs and seven RBIs for the Bullets. Jack Burke had four hits, three RBIs and three runs scored. THANK YOU, SENIORS!: Today is senior day for 12 members of the Gettysburg Baseball Class of 2025. The group has been instrumental in leading the Bullets to their highest national ranking in program history earlier this season at 13th. The group has posted an overall record of 78-74 over the last four seasons to date.
GETTING OFFENSIVE: Gettysburg and McDaniel played the most offensive game in the 132-game history of the series between the two longtime rivals with a 21-17 Bullets victory in Westminster on Friday - three days after the teams played a 12-11 game three days earlier that was called after eight innings due to darkness. The teams combined for 38 runs and 38 hits and all 18 starters had at least one hit with 15 recording multiple hits. Jack Pistner tied the Centennial Conference record with three home runs a game, going deep in his first three at bats over the first three innings. Jack Burke had four hits on the day to join Pistner in the 100-hit club.
