OPENING FACEOFF: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 58th all-time meeting between No. 8 Gettysburg (10-3, 6-0 CC) and Washington (7-8, 1-6 CC) in a series that dates back to 1982. The Bullets lead the all-time series 37-17 and have won 10 of the last 11 matchups. The lone Shoremen win during that stretch came in last season's regular-season finale in Chestertown, 18-14.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Gettysburg built a 12-9 advantage at the end of the third quarter, carrying the Bullets to a 13-11 win in the first round of the 2024 Centennial Conference tournament. Quinton Mather led the attack with three goals and three assists. Frank Barbera paced the defense with four ground balls and three caused turnovers. LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg, opened up a 4-0 lead midway through the first quarter and scored the game's first 15 goals en route to a 21-3 victory at McDaniel on Wednesday.  Jackson Barroll led the Bullets with four goals. NO. 8 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg moved up one spot to No. 9 the latest USILA Div. III coaches' poll after two victories last week. 

CENTURY MARK: With back-to-back goals 34 seconds apart in the third quarter on Wednesday, Jack Dunleavy reached 100 goals for his career. He is the 18th player in program history to reach the century mark. With 77 career assists, his 177 points currently ranks 15th in program history. He is 20 points from moving into the all-time top 10. Dunleavy has scored four or more points in each of the last four games. He was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team of the Week for the week of Apr. 7-14. It is the first time this season he has earned the honor and the third time a Bullet has been recognized.

LAST TIME OUT: Washington led 17th-ranked Swarthmore after period one but could not keep the advantage, falling 15-8. Cam Carrigan led the Shoremen with two goals on five shots and two ground balls. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

APRIL SHOWERS?: After starting the season 6-2, Washington has dropped six of its last seven games since conference play has started. The lone victory was a 20-7 win over McDaniel on Apr. 9. Otherwise, the Shoremen have been held to 10 or fewer goals in their other six CC games this spring. They dropped back-to-back one-goal games to Ursinus and Franklin & Marshall in that stretch on Mar. 26 and 29.
