Gettysburg scored 257.50 points winning the Mason-Dixon Invitational.
Jack Regentin sets new hammer throw record.Â
THE LEADERS
- Jack Regentin (Gettysburg, Pa., Biglerville) led the Bullets with a second place finish in the hammer with a record-breaking and Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying 44.38 meter throw. He also had two first place finishes in the shot put and discus with a CC-qualifying toss of 14.38 meters in the shot put and another CC-qualifying throw of 45.71 meters in discus.
- Mark Overlander (Marietta, Pa., Donegal) placed first in the pole vault with a season-best and CC-qualifying vault of 4.42 meters which is tied for fourth in program history.
- Andres Nunez-Castaneda (Morrisville, Pa., Notre Dame) finished first in the 400 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 50.40 seconds. He also placed second in the 200 with another season-best and CC-qualifying time of 22.62 seconds.
- Dom Roussos (West Hartford, Conn., Hall) came in first in javelin with a season-best and CC-qualifying throw of 55.52 metes.
- Tyler Trout (Chester Springs, Pa., Owen J. Roberts) competed in the 110-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles finishing first in both with two CC-qualifying times of 16.24 seconds (110-meter) and 57.69 seconds (400-meter).
- Eli Steel (York, Pa., York Country Day School) placed first in the long jump with a CC-qualifying jump of 6.17 meters.
FOR THE FOES
- Thaddeus Stevens came in second with 137.50 points while Marymount (Va.) placed third with 123.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Kyle Northrup (New Hope, Pa., New Hope-Solebury) finished second in the 400 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 51.60 seconds.
- Stefano Orlando (Norwalk, Conn., New Canaan) placed third in the 110-meter hurdles with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 19.01 seconds. He also finished sixth in the shot put with a season-best throw of 11.22 meters and placed 10th in the long jump with a leap of 5.13 meters.
- Liam O'Meara (Ridgewood, N.J., Ridgewood) came in fourth in the 200 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 23.69 seconds. He also finished second in the pole vault with a CC-qualifying height of 4.42 meters.
- Reid Norton (Alexandria, Va., Gonzaga College) competed in the 110-meter hurdles finishing fourth with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 19.61 seconds. He also placed fifth in the pole vault with a season-best and CC-qualifying height of 3.37 meters and finished eighth in the high jump with a throw of 1.51 meters.
- Jeremy Cruz (Westfield, N.J., Westfield) finished third in javelin with a CC-qualifying throw of 42.56 meters.
- Gianluca LeBlanc (Pipersville, Pa., Palisades) placed fourth in the 100 with a CC-qualifying time of 11.90 seconds.
- Andrew Oshetski (Freeport, Maine, Freeport)Â came in fourth in the shot put with a CC-qualifying throw of 11.76 meters. He also finished sixth in discus with a season-best throw of 30.93 meters and placed ninth in hammer with a season-best toss of 31.10 meters.
- Pat Zoccolillo (New Canaan, Conn., New Canaan), O'Meara, Nunes-Castaneda, and Leblanc placed first in the 4x100 relay with a season-best 43.13 seconds
- Nick Glass (Haworth, N.J., Northern Valley Regional-Demarest), Mick Lorenger (Alexandria, Va., Thomas Edison), Isaac Parks-Gill (Lewistown, Pa., Mifflin County) and Northrup combined to finish second in the 4x400 relay with a season-best 3:36.41
- Leblanc, Norton, Jayden Craig (Westminster, Md., Westminster) and Zoccolillo placed third in the 4x400 relay with a season-best time of 3:38.62.
- Colin Carpenter (Ridgefield, Conn., Wooster School) finished third in the 5,000 with a season-best 16:11.27.
- Jayden Craig (Westminster, Md., Westminster) placed fourth in the 800 with a season-best 2:02.92.
- Adam Balthaser (Mohnton, Pa., Governor Mifflin) came in fifth in the 400 with a season-best 56.32.
- Austin Hudak (Boonton Twp., N.J., Mountain Lakes) competed in the 800 with a season-best time of 2:06.94.
- James Higinbotham (Frederick, Md., Gov. Thomas Johnson) finished fifth in the 1500 with a season-best time of 4:49.55.
- Andrew Ersin (Wynnewood, Pa., Lower Merion)Â placed fifth in the 5,000 with a season-best time of 17:05.85.
- Aidan Martin (Middleburgh, N.Y., Middleburgh) came in ninth in the 5,000 with a season-best 22:04.96.
THE INSIDE STORY
- Matthew Wagner (Downingtown, Pa., Downingtown STEM Academy) finished first in the 1500 with a time of 4:32.34.
- Matthew Kurek (Collegeville, Pa., La Salle College) came in first in the steeplechase with at time of 11:15.49.
- Maddon McNicholas (Morgantown, Pa., Twin Valley) placed second in the 5,000 with a time of 15:58.23.
- Mick Lorenger (Alexandria, Va., Thomas Edison) finished third in the 800 with a time of 2:02.81.
- Dominic DiLuzio (Chadds Ford, Pa., Garnet Valley) came in fourth in the 5,000 with a time of 16:32.07.
- Nick Glass (Haworth, N.J., Northern Valley Regional-Demarest) competed in the 100 with a time of 12.09 seconds.
- Pat Zoccolillo (New Canaan, Conn., New Canaan) placed sixth in the 100 with at time of 12.14 seconds.
- Robby Allen (Sparta, N.J., ) finished sixth in the high jump with a leap of 1.61 meters.
- Isaac Parks-Gill (Lewistown, Pa., Mifflin County) came in seventh in the 800 with a time of 2:11.09.
