THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked third in the latest IWLCA Div. III coaches' poll, scored the first nine goals of the game and did not allow Ursinus to get any closer than seven the rest of the way in a 23-11 victory.
THE LEADERS

Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) led the Bullets with a career-high 11 points on six goals and five assists. She scored her six goals on six shots.

Meghan Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) added her first career hat trick, scoring three goals on three shots.
FOR THE FOES
• Whitney Hershey and Jaime Michaud each scored three goals to lead the Bears.
• Dana DeSiato added two goals and two assists.

Emily Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) converted a free-position shot with 12:19 showing on the first-quarter clock before
Grace Battle (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) connected with
Julia Daly twice in a three-minute stretch to make it 3-0 midway through the period. Daly then found Crane with 6:54 showing and
Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) connected with
Sophie Smith (Great Falls, Va./Langley) on a roll to the cage with 6:21 to play to cap a run of three goals in 65 seconds. Free-position tallies from Daly and
Lauren O'Connell (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) and Daly returning the favor to Battle made it 8-0 after one quarter.
• Crane opened the scoring in just 3:16 into the second period before Whitney Hershey broke up the shutout with 10:52 on the clock.
Nina Marra (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) answered but Hershey cut the deficit back to eight with 7:03 to play. Daly and Whitney then traded tallies before a
Meghan Crane free-position goal and Daly solo run gave Gettysburg a 10-goal margin with 2:21 to play. Jaime Michaud momentarily halted the run but O'Connell sprinted to cage and scored with 11 ticks remaining to make it 14-4 at the break.
• O'Connell scored from Kelly 95 seconds on the other side of intermission before Michaud and Julia McCann each found the back of the net to cut the margin to 15-6 with 10:06 showing.
Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) returned the margin to 10 just 36 seconds later before Dan DeSiato manufactured a three-goal Bear run with a goal and two assists to make it a 16-9 game with 2:27 remaining.
Sarah Scollin (Oreland, Pa./Springside Chestnut Hill Academy) converted off another Daly feed to snap the run with 1:57 on the clock.
• Battle and converted an extra-player goal 17 seconds into the fourth quarter before Daly connected twice with Crane to make it 20-9 with 9:03 to play. Maeve Leonzi hit a free-position shot before Daly and Scollin both finished solo runs and
Emily Crane found
Skylar Matusz (Harrison, N.Y./Scarsdale) on the doorstep for the freshman's first goal with 1:38 to play and 23-10 lead. DeSiato finished off the scoring with 23 ticks remaining.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg scored 23 on just 30 shots, finishing with a 30-20 edge over Ursinus.

Grace Battle finished with two caused turnovers and seven draw controls to go with her two goals and three assists.

Lauren O'Connell and

Meghan Crane with hat tricks. In all, 12 different Bullets registered a point.
