FIRST PITCH: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 224th all-time meeting between No. 16 Gettysburg (23-5, 2-4 CC) and Dickinson (10-13, 1-5 CC) in a series that dates back to 1881. The Bullets lead the all-time series 135-86-2 but the Red Devils have won 10 of the last 11 matchups.

LAST SEASON'S SERIES: On Tuesday in Gettysburg, Dickinson built an 8-4 lead through five innings before scoring 10 runs in the top of the seventh to defeat Gettysburg by run rule, 18-5. Jack Burke hit a triple and a two-run home run to lead the Bullets offensively. He also added two RBI. Kenny Tagliareni had two hits, including one for extra bases, five RBI, and two stolen bases. In Carlisle three days later, Gettysburg built a 3-2 lead after three and a half innings before Dickinson scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and never looked back en route to a 12-5 win. Jack Pistner hit 1.000 on the day and knocked in his third home run in three games. He scored three runs, hit a double and drew two walks. LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg scored three or more runs in four innings to split a doubleheader at Haverford. The Bullets took game one 16-10 before the Fords plated three runs in the bottom of the eighth for an 11-2 win in the nightcap. Jack Burke led the Bullets with a 5-for-5 game two that included his second two-home run game in the last eight days. Harry Genth had four hits and five RBIs in the two games to lead the Fords. NO. 16 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg dropped three spots to No. 16 in the latest D3baseball.com poll.

GOING LONG: Jack Pistner hit a first-inning home run in game one on Saturday for his sixth long ball of the season and 18th career homer for a new program record for career home runs. He also finished the day with 53 RBIs for the season to establish a new single-season program record just 28 games into the year to pass Nate Simon's 2014 record of 49. Mike Backus had the previous home run record with 17 from 2007-10. Jack Burke has hit five home runs this season and has eight for his career.

LAST TIME OUT: Washington scored five runs in the seventh inning of game one to break the game open and defeat Dickinson, 11-1. However, in the second game, the Red Devils used a two-run homer from Kaden Sigmon to take the lead in the fifth and never look back claiming a 7-4 win at MacPhail Field. SEEING 20/20: Ryan Thompson and Kevin Schmidt both have more than 20 hits on the season in addition to hitting .350 or better. Thompson has a team-best 28 hits that includes eight doubles and is hitting .364 on the year. He has also drawn a team-best 18 walks. Schmidt has 21 knocks and a .396 average in 17 games. He has a pair of triples.
