FIRST PITCH: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 224th all-time meeting between No. 16 Gettysburg (23-5, 2-4 CC) and Dickinson (10-13, 1-5 CC) in a series that dates back to 1881. The Bullets lead the all-time series 135-86-2 but the Red Devils have won 10 of the last 11 matchups.
LAST SEASON'S SERIES: On Tuesday in Gettysburg, Dickinson built an 8-4 lead through five innings before scoring 10 runs in the top of the seventh to defeat Gettysburg by run rule, 18-5. Jack Burke hit a triple and a two-run home run to lead the Bullets offensively. He also added two RBI. Kenny Tagliareni had two hits, including one for extra bases, five RBI, and two stolen bases. In Carlisle three days later, Gettysburg built a 3-2 lead after three and a half innings before Dickinson scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and never looked back en route to a 12-5 win. Jack Pistner hit 1.000 on the day and knocked in his third home run in three games. He scored three runs, hit a double and drew two walks.
