THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 13th in the latest NFCA Div. III coaches' poll, scored seven runs in the first inning of game one to ignite a pair of five-inning victories over Dickinson. The Bullets captured game one 9-0 before completing the sweep, 13-5.

THE LEADERS
Jamie Shaw (Mt. Airy, Md./Glenelg) led the Bullets with four hits in the twinbill and scored three runs.
Morgan DeFreitas (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) added four hits as well while contributing four RBI in game two.
Paige Forry (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) picked up the wins in both ends of the doubleheader, allowing just one earned run and striking out 14 in 10 innings.

FOR THE FOES
• Jessie Sandusky led the Red Devils with two hits and a walk on the day.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• With two outs in the bottom of the first inning of game one, Elliana Hopple (Collegeville, Pa./The Episcopal Academy) pulled a ball just inside the line for a double to start a stretch of nine straight Gettysburg batters to reach base. After a Morgan DeFreitas walk, Renee Laczkowski (Erie, Colo./Erie) doubled off the fence before Anika Pelekis (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) tripled to right for a 3-0 lead. After back-to-back walks loaded the bases, Abigail Gold (Apex, N.C./Apex) doubled off the wall in left to clear the bases before scoring on an Audrey Bergan (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School) single up the middle to cap the seven-run frame.
• DeFreitas started the second with a walk before moving to second on a wild pitch and scoring on a Pelekis one-out double to the gap.
• Bergan led off the third with a walk and scored on a two-out DeFreitas double for the 9-0 final.
• Jessie Sandusky led off game two with a triple for Dickinson before scoring on a Jane Lloyd single to left. Singles from Eden Blanker and Erin McMahon loaded the bases for Marah Goldman, who doubled to left for a 3-0 lead before an out was recorded. Paige Forry came on in relief and retired the next eight batters, however.
• In the bottom of the third, Gold singled up the middle with one out before Bergan reached on a fielder's choice. Jamie Shaw slapped a single up the middle before Hopple poked a ball through the right side to plate Bergan. DeFreitas followed with a well-placed single to cut the deficit to 3-2.
• A two-out walk to Laila Gwathmey, stolen base and Sandusky single made it 4-2 in the fourth.
• A one-out throwing error put Lauren O'Leary (Manasquan, N.J./Jackson Memorial) on second base before Carlie Goldstein (Verona, N.J./Verona) doubled to the gap to once again make it a one-run game. Two wild pitches around a Gold walk and stolen base tied the game before a Bergan RBI groundout scored Gold for a 5-4 edge. Shaw followed with an infield single before a Hopple walk and DeFreitas two-run double extended the lead to 7-4.
• A dropped fly ball and two-out Lauren Routzahn double made it 7-5 in the top of the fifth.
• Pelekis beat out an infield single to start the home fifth before O'Leary and Goldstein both singled back up the middle for an 8-5 lead. A fielder's choice and Bergan single to left extended the advantage to 9-5 with one out. A fielding error and Hopple sacrifice fly made it an 11-5 game. After singles from DeFreitas and Laczkowsi pushed the lead to 12-5, pinch-runner Kate Buckley (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) scored from second on a fielding error for the 13-5 final.

THE INSIDE STORY
Paige Forry struck out nine in the complete-game shutout in game one.
Anika Pelekis led the offense in the opener with two hits and three RBIs.
• In addition to the three-hit game two from Jamie Shaw and Morgan DeFreitas, Carlie Goldstein had two hits and two RBIs.
• The Bullets' 14-game winning streak is the program's longest since the 1985 season when the squad won a program-record 22 in a row.
