LANCASTER, Pa. – Three member of the Gettysburg women's golf team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team by virtue of their finishes at the championship on Apr. 26-27.
Lucy Barton (Newton, N.J./Blair Academy), the 2024 Rookie of the Year, was named Player of the Year in a voting of the conference coaches while the Gettysburg coaching staff, led by head coach
Brian Leib, was the Coaching Staff of the Year.
Chloe Barton (Newtown, N.J./Blair Academy) and
Natalie Boyd (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) joined
Lucy Barton on the all-conference team.
Lucy Barton won the individual CC title with a career-low 36-hole score of 161. She was the only player in the field to break 80 on Saturday with a round of 78 to sleep on a two-stroke lead. On Sunday, she was only bettered by her sister, closing out the championship with a round of 83.
Chloe Barton finished as runner-up with a two-day total of 163 after a round of 78 on Sunday. She posted a round of 85 on Saturday.
Natalie Boyd placed tied for fourth with a score of 172. She followed up her opening-round tally of 89 with a second-round score of 83.
For the season, Chloe has the lowest stroke average on the team at 81.0 over 11 rounds. She has finished in the top five in four of her seven events this season. Lucy is second on the team with a stroke average of 81.9 over her 13 rounds. She has placed in the top five three times in her eight events. Boyd is fourth on the team with an 85.2 stroke average over 14 rounds. She has six top-10 showings in a team-high 10 events.

Kathy Murphy led the Bullets to their 12th conference title and six tournament titles over the season.
Gettysburg returns to action at the NCAA Div. III championship on May 13-16 at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va.
