THE SKINNY STORY
After needing to finish in the top two in a four-team playoff to make the cut at the 2025 NCAA Div. III men's golf championship, Gettysburg posted its best two rounds of the championship to vault into a tie for 11th place in a field that started with 43 teams and saw 18 teams finish play after the 36-hole cut. The Bullets finished the 72-hole championship with a total score of 1,199 after carding rounds of 293 and 295 over final 36 holes. Gettysburg started the week with rounds of 306 and 305.
THE LEADERS

Daniel Suter (Gaithersburg, Md./Milton Academy) fired a three-under par round of 69 over the final 18 holes – the fifth best round turned in during the last round, which began on Thursday afternoon and finished Friday around a weather delay. Suter finished 20th overall with a score of 295 after starting the tournament with matching rounds of 77 and carding an even-par 72 in the third round.
FOR THE FOES
• Methodist rallied with a final-round score of 282 to post a 72-hole total of 1,175 and win the team championship by five strokes over Illinois Wesleyan.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Patrick Kilcoyne (Belmont, Mass./Belmont) finished tied for 40th with a score of 300. At the halfway point of the championship, he had carded a round of 77 on Tuesday at Cobblestone before posting a round of 75 on Wednesday at Midvale and finishing out the week with rounds of 75 and 73.

Daniel Casanta (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) matched Kilcoyne with a final score of 300. He opened the championship with a round of 75 before posting a round of 78 at Midvale. His then shot even-par 72 on Thursday before wrapping up the week with a score of 75.

Christian Deussing (Doylestown, Pa./Hun School of Princeton [N.J.]) and
Myles Cunningham (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier), who both birdied their playoff holes on Hole 8 and Hole 9 respectively, to key the playoff victory, finished 83rd and 88th.
• Deussing fired three rounds of 78 or better to finish with a score of 314. He carded a 76 over the first 18 before firing an 86 on Wednesday. Over his final two days, he carded rounds of 74 and 78.
• Cunningham finished with a score of 319 that included starting the week with rounds of 78 and 76 before finishing with rounds of 84 and 81.
THE INSIDE STORY
• It was the first time in program history that Gettysburg made the cut at the national championship.
• The 11th place finish is the best team finish for any Centennial Conference team.
