THE SKINNY STORY
Swarthmore scored a pair of unearned runs in the third inning for the game's only offense, defeating No. 14 Gettysburg 2-0 in the semifinals of the 2025 Centennial Conference tournament.

Carlie Goldstein (Verona, N.J./Verona) had one of the three hits on the day for the Bullets.

• Emily Bertrand had two hits for the Garnet, including a two-run single for the game's only runs.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• After Gettysburg loaded the bases but could not score in the top of the third, Elisabeth O'Connor reached on a throwing error on a bunt attempt to lead off the bottom of the frame. After she stole second, an infield single from Iris Barone put runners at the corners. Barone then stole second before a two-out Emily Bertrand beat out a single up the middle that was kept on the infield with a diving attempt but both runners scored.
THE INSIDE STORY

Paige Forry (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) went the distance, scattering just five hits and striking out five with no walks and did not allow an earned run.
• Swarthmore advances to Sunday's championship game as the 2-0 team in the double-elimination tournament.
