GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Four members of the Gettysburg men's lacrosse team, one member of the wrestling team and one member of the men's golf team were named to the Division III Academic All-District at-large team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 9.
The following Bullets men's lacrosse players were honored as part of the program:
- Junior Benny Kasoff (Leesburg, Va./Riverside), business, organizations and management major
- Senior Andy Marquet (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga), an economics major
- Sophomore JP Meyo (Westfield, N.J./Seton Hall Prep), a mathematical economics major
- Senior Stokes Myers (Nashville, Tenn./Montgomery Bell School), a psychology major
The following Bullets wrestling was honored as part of the program:
- Junior Phil Nave (Venetia, Pa./Peters Twp.), a health sciences major
The following Bullets men's golfer was honored as part of the program:
- Junior Christian Deussing (Doylestown, Pa./Hun School of Princeton [N.J.]), a business, organizations and management major
Marquet earned his third straight honor while Kasoff, Myers and Deussing earned their second honor after also being selected last season.
To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average and must be a starter or significant reserve. Up to six eligible student-athletes per institution can be selected to the all-district team.
