THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg placed fifth to open the season at the Mount 5K Duals hosted by Mount St. Mary's. The Bullets finished with 133 points in the eight-team event and we were the top ranked Division III team in the field that was split between Division I and Division III teams.
THE LEADERS
•
Elyse Tancini (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) led the Bullets with a 18th-place finish, turning in a time of 19:30.1 on the 5,000-meter course.
FOR THE FOES
• Delaware won the team title with 30 points with six of the first 11 runners across the line.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Anna Hendrickson (Sykesville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) made her Gettysburg debut, crossing the line 22nd with a time of 19:41.3.
•
Carys Cook (Hendersonville, Tenn./Lauralton Hall [Texas]) was 27th with a time of 19:49.6.
•
Eliza Hoover (Mahwah, N.J./Academy of the Holy Angels) finished 36th with a time of 20:22.2.
•
Ava Romano (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) placed 50th with a time of 21:12.9.
• Cassidy Gorman was 52nd (21:25.1) while
Abbey Woodcome (Hudson, Mass./Hudson) was 60th (21:51.9).
•
Sarah Smith (63rd, 22:25.1),
Kyla Lorden (64th, 22:28),
Jess McLaughlin (68th, 22:54.7),
Danielle Fritchman (71st, 23:15.6) and
Megan McArthur (83rd, 25:10.5) rounded out the Bullet competitors.
THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 91 runners competed at the 5,000-meter dsitances.
• It marked the first time the Bullets competed at the event.
