THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg had a big rally to capture a 27-25 win in the first set before Stevenson responded to tie the match but the Bullets put away the final two sets to record a 3-1 victory.

THE LEADERS
Mary Huegel (Marlboro, N.J./Colts Neck) led the Bullets 12 kills and hit .346 on the night to go with six total blocks.
Ava Grall (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla./Ponte Vedra) also reached double figures with 10 kills and rounded out a double-double with 10 digs.

FOR THE FOES
• Giulia Viglietta led the Mustangs with 13 kills and 13 digs.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Three straight points staked Stevenson to an early 3-1 lead in the opening set. An Ava Grall kill started a run of four straight points to counter and give Gettysburg a 5-3 lead. After the teams traded mini-runs, Lily Hornickle tied the set at 8-all and led to a 4-0 run to take an 11-8 edge. An Isabella Terra ace keyed another mini-run that extended the Stevenson lead to 21-14. Trailing 23-16, an attack error gave Mary Huegel the serve. She helped herself out with a kill and ace, trimming the deficit to 23-21. A Rachel Lenz kill gave the hosts set point but a service error and back-to-back kills tied the set at 24-all. Even at 25-all, Emma Bradshaw (East Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) and Clare Farrell (Livingston, N.J./Academy of St. Elizabeth) knocked down kills for the 27-25 first set win.
• The Mustangs jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the second set. Trailing 8-3, a pair of Erin Gonzalez (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) kills helped draw the set level at 9-all. Two Giulia Viglietta kills helped turn a 13-12 edge into a 17-12 lead en route to a 25-20 victory to draw the match even at 1-all.
• Huegel knocked down a pair of kills to start the third set. Stevenson closed to within 8-7 on a Lenz kill but Huegel had the response, starting another 5-0 stretch to open up a 13-7 advantage. Holding a 16-12 lead, Gianna Galli (Demarest, N.J./Northern Valley Demarest) and Bradshaw extended the lead to six and ignited a 9-1 run to the finish for a 25-13 win.
• A pair of Gonzalez knockdowns in a three-point stretch helped the Bullets take an early 8-3 lead in the fourth set. A Viglietta ace closed the deficit to 8-6 but nine of the next 12 points went the way of Gettysburg for a 17-9 advantage to force a timeout. Stevenson netted four of the first five points out of the stoppage to pull within 18-13. A Grall kill pushed the lead back to 23-15 but an Emma Shaffer kill started a 4-0 burst that closed the deficit to 23-19. Huegel then put one off the block to send it to match point. Stevenson extended the match an extra point before Alycen Radolovic (Willoughby, Ohio/Beaumont School) finished off the night with a deep kill for the 25-20 win.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Erin Gonzalez added nine kills on just 16 swings for a .500 hitting percentage to aid the Gettysburg attack.
• Nala Shearer (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) led the defense with 19 digs.
