Christopher Newport scored 42 first-half points en route to a 49-14 victory over Gettysburg.
THE LEADERS

Rocco Abdinoor (Edgewater, Md./St. Mary's Annapolis) led the Bullets with 180 yards passing and one touchdown while running for another 57 with a score.

Justin Rhyne (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) had another double-digit tackle game with 11 stops.
FOR THE FOES
• Gunner White led the Captains with 47 rushing yards on six carries and a touchdown. He also caught seven passes for 70 yards and three touchdowns.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Christopher Newport took the opening kickoff and drove the ball 70 yards on seven plays. Gunner White capped the march with a 20-yard touchdown run for a 7-0 lead with 12:03 showing. Josh Powell doubled the lead on a 16-yard grab with 1:02 showing.
• Dai Fitzgerald recovered a jail-break blocked punt just 42 seconds into the second quarter for a touchdown and 21-0 lead. Gettysburg marched the ensuing possession eight plays and 78 yards for its first score of the game.
Jason Roskam (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) caught his second touchdown of the year, scoring on a 13-yard grab to make it 21-7 with 10:56 on the clock. A Gunner White 10-yard touchdown reception and Ethan Barham 27-yard TD grab stretched the lead 35-7 with 1:43 to play in the opening half. White then added another four-yard touchdown reception with nine seconds left to make it 42-7.
• The Captains took the opening drive of the second half 55 yards on six plays. White paid it off with his third touchdown from seven yards out to make it 49-7 with 9:42 showing. On the 10th play of the ensuing possession,
Rocco Abdinoor powered it home from one yard out for the final margin with 4:45 to play in the third quarter.

Michael Zrelak (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) carried the ball 13 times for 53 yards.
