THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg built a lead as large as 16 in the first half and kept McDaniel at arm's length in the second half to wrap up a 64-53 win and clinch the top seed in next week's Centennial Conference tournament.
THE LEADERS

Aidan Mess (Columbia, Md./Mt. St. Joseph) led the Bullets with a double-double, contributing 10 points and 10 rebounds to go with two steals and three blocks.

Ray Zamloot (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) added a team-high 17 points.
FOR THE FOES
• David Kearney recorded 17 points, two assists, two steals and three blocks to lead the Green Terror, who will need a win at Muhlenberg in the season finale to secure the sixth and final playoff berth.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Alex Grospe (South River, N.J./South River) and
Josh Herr (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) staked Gettysburg to a 4-0 lead in the game's first 2:19. A Ryan Shaffer 3-pointer tied the game at 6-all but
Malachi Briscoe (California, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) responded with a triple of his own to give the hosts the lead for good.
Ray Zamloot added another trey for a 12-6 lead with 14:58 showing. McDaniel got back to within 12-11 but two
Aidan Mess free throws and a pair of
Reece Craft (Downingtown, Pa./Devon Prep) layups in just 1:49 pushed the lead to 18-11 midway through the opening half. Four more points in the next minutes extended the run to 10-0 and the Bullets maintained an advantage between eight and 13 points until a
Vule Sukovic (Belgrade, Serbia/Taft School [Conn.]) 3-pointer made it 36-20 with 4:06 showing. The Green Terror scored the next four but a Mess slam made it 38-24 at the break.
• Five points from David Kearney keyed a 7-0 start to the second half, trimming the deficit to 38-31 just 95 seconds into the period. Triples from Grospe and Zamloot, however, quickly pushed the back out to 13. McDaniel got as close as 44-37 on a Kearney driving layup with 14:40 on the clock two
Kosta Radulovic (Podgorica, Montenegro/Perkiomen School [Pa.]) free throws and a
Lorenzo Carrara (Norwood, Mass./Xaverian Brothers) layup on consecutive possessions made it a double-digit advantage again with 13:09 to play and it remained between 10 and 14 points the rest of the way.
THE INSIDE STORY

Ray Zamloot reached double digits for the 14th straight game.

Alex Grospe chipped in seven points and seven assists.
• The Bullets will have a first-round bye and host one of two semifinals next Friday. With the top seed also comes hosting rights for Sunday's championship game if they advance through the semifinals.
