THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked sixth in the latest IWLCA Div. III coaches' poll, scored the first four goals of the third quarter top open up a seven-goal lead en route to a 19-8 win over Roanoke at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md.
THE LEADERS

Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) led the Bullets with eight points on six goals and two assists to give her 299 for her career.

Grace Battle (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) added four goals of her own to go with eight draw controls.

• Maddie McDonald staked Roanoke to a 1-0 lead with 10:11 to play in the opening period before
Julia Daly found
Nina Marra (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) for an advantage goal just 45 seconds later. Sydney Winpigler had the answer for the Maroons with 8:08 on the clock. Daly got things back even with 4:24 to play in the opening period before McDonald tallied her second with 2:42 on the clock to keep the back-and-forth going.
Charlotte Wilkinson (Wilmington, Del./The Tatnall School) picked up the rebound off a blocked shot and fired it home to tie the game at 3-all with 1:54 showing. Daly then gave the Bullets their first lead with 40 seconds remaining.

Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) found
Grace Battle in the first minute of the second quarter to stretch the lead to two. Two more goals from Daly just 13 seconds apart extended the run to five straight. McDonald hit a free-position goal to snap the run with 12:08 on the clock to make it a 7-4 game. Two more goals from Battle just over a minute and a half apart stretched the lead to 9-4 before Zoe Blair found the back of the net for Roanoke with 5:57 showing. A Blair free-position tally with 1:41 on the clock closed the margin to 9-6 at the break.
• Battle netted her fourth of the night on a free-position attempt to open the second-half scoring with 12:44 showing. Kelly found the back of the net twice in a 67-second span to extend the lead to 12-6 before
Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) got her first just over a minute later to stretch the advantage to seven with 5:49 remaining. McDonald finally broke up the second-half run by Gettysburg, finishing a solo run with 4:38 on the clock. Daly, however, finished with 59 seconds remaining to stretch the advantage back to seven after three quarters.
• Goals from Daly and
Sarah Scollin (Orefield, Pa./Springside Chestnut Hill Academy) in the opening 90 seconds of the fourth quarter extended the lead to 16-7 before Regan Tharldson made it 16-8 a minute later.
Riley d'Entremont (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Radnor) had a hand in the final three goals for the Bullets, finding Kali McDonald (Norwich, Vt./Hanover) and
Delaney Nolan (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) before hitting the back of the net herself.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 35-25 advantage in shots and 17-12 advantage in draw controls.
