THE SKINNY STORY
York (Pa.) scored four runs in the fourth inning to open up a 6-3 lead before holding off a late rally from No. 18 Gettysburg for an 8-7 victory.
THE LEADERS

Mike Coleman (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) led the Bullets with a 3-for-3 day, adding a run scored, RBI and walk.
FOR THE FOES
• Luke Moser went 3-for-4 to lead the Spartans, adding a run scored and RBI.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Gettysburg jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
Will Bercaw (Langhorne, Pa./The Pennington School) led off the game with a walk before a
Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Gov. Livingston) double down the line put runners at second and third. After a groundout,
Dominick Balsamo (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) dropped a single into right to plate Bercaw for a 1-0 lead.
Mike Coleman and
Jack Amirata (Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberley Academy) followed with back-to-back singles up the middle for a 3-0 lead before York got out of the inning with a double play.
• The Spartans, however, got two right back. After Luke Pendergast was hit by a pitch to start the frame, a strikeout and single through the left side put runners at the corners with one down. Richard Kline doubled to the gap to make it 3-1 before a Matthew Wade sacrifice fly cut the deficit to one.
• Luke Moser led off the home fifth with a single before Bryce Avery went deep to turn the one-run deficit into a one-run lead. A Brett Michael single and Ryan Niedzialkowski two-out, two-strike home run stretched the lead to 6-3.
• A Moser RBI single stretched the advantage to 7-3 in the fifth before a
Brendan Laqui (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) one-out walk and an error on a fielder's choice put two on in the top of the sixth. With two outs, Murphy singled to left to load the bases before
Will Stellato (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) cut the deficit in half with a double inside the line in left.
• York got one run back in the home sixth. A Pendergast double, walk and error loaded the bases before a one-out Kline RBI groundout stretched the lead to 8-5.

Gabe Caucci (Conshohocken, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) led off the top of the eighth with a pinch-hit infield single before an error put two on. After a sacrifice put two in scoring position, a Stellato RBI groundout made it an 8-6 game.
• Coleman was hit by a pitch to start the top of the ninth before Amirata drew a walk. A flyout and a Laqui RBI groundout scored Coleman to make it 8-7 with two outs before Brett Michael made a diving catch in right to end the game.
