Gettysburg fell to Salisbury 7-0 after coming close to wins at second and third doubles.
THE LEADERS
- Claire Carroccio (Newtown Square, Pa., Villa Maria Academy) led the bullets winning six games between two sets before dropping at No. 6 singles. Her and Lindsay Paullin (Richmond, Va., St. Catherine's) combined to four games before falling 6-4 to Salisbury's Leah Osmon and Elizabeth Coligan at third doubles.
FOR THE FOES
- Cleo Solomon led the Sea Gulls only dropping one game before winning 6-1, 6-0 at second singles.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Emma Ward (Falls Church, Va., George Mason) won five games between two sets at third singles before falling 6-2, 6-3. Her and Gabby Mazzeo (Bethel, Conn., Bethel) combined at first doubles winning three games before falling to the Sea Gulls.
- Eden Levkov (Summit, N.J., Summit) and Meaghan Dougherty (Heath, Texas, Rockwall-Heath) dropped 6-4 at second doubles but not before securing four game wins during the match.
