THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 21st in the latest D3baseball.com poll, used a seven-run fifth inning to push the game into run-rule territory and eventually a 16-5 victory over Dickinson in seven innings.

THE LEADERS
Brendan Laqui (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) led the Bullets with two hits and five RBIs, including a third-inning grand slam. He also threw out three runners on the bases.

FOR THE FOES
• Freeman Hunt was 2-for-3 to lead the Red Devils with a walk and run scored.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• With one out in the bottom of the first, Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Gov. Livingston) poked a single through the left side before a two-out, two-run Will Stellato (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) home run staked Gettysburg to a 2-0 lead.
• Doubles from Jack Amirata (Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberley Academy) and Will Roche (Milton, Mass./Boston College H.S.) made it 3-0 in the second.
• Freeman Hunt walked to start the third inning before an error on the ensuing sacrifice put two runners on. A pickoff by Brendan Laqui erased the lead runner but another fielding error and a two-out single by Will Ferris made it 3-1.
• With two outs in the bottom of the third, Stellato was hit by a pitch before a pair of walks loaded the bases. Laqui then took a 1-2 pitch down the left-field line and out for a grand slam and 7-1 lead.
• Kyle Bailey led off the fourth with a double before Luke Gartland walked. A one-out Hunt single loaded the bases before a Ben Milligan RBI groundout made it 7-2. Matt Conforti followed with a double to the gap to close the margin to 7-4.
Henry Smith (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle Area) led off the bottom of the inning with a single and took second on an error and third on a groundout. A Murphy sacrifice fly made it 8-4 before Mike Coleman (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) lined the Bullets' third home run of the day out to right.
• In the fifth, Amirata doubled before taking third on a groundout. Back-to-back walks loaded the bases. A wild pitch on the first pitch after a pitching change stretched the lead to 10-4. Will Bercaw (Langhorne, Pa./The Pennington School) singled to right, scoring both baserunners to make it a 12-4 game. Two more walks laded the bases. With two outs, Dominick Balsamo (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) singled home two runs then Amirata and Laqui both poked an RBI single to right for a 16-4 lead.
• A two-out Milligan single, walk and Dylan Posencheg set the 16-5 final in the top of the sixth.
